I am delighted to invite you to celebrate the Massachusetts Reading Association’s 50th year as an organization! For a half a century, MRA has been dedicated to promoting literacy for all learners through professional development, research, publications, and advocacy. Throughout the coming year, MRA will celebrate this golden jubilee with special projects, community outreach, and commemorative publications. Our biggest celebration, however, will take place April 3-5, 2019 during MRA’s 50th Annual Conference, “Looking Back and Looking Forward”, with Valerie Harlow Shinas as Chair. We hope you can be there to join us in commemorating this momentous occasion.
